Mission

Mission

Live right. Do good. Be ready.

That's our mission. It's inspired by Galatians 6:7-10 where it says:

"7 Do not be deceived: God is not mocked, for whatever one sows, that will he also reap. 8 For the one who sows to his own flesh will from the flesh reap corruption, but the one who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap Eternal Life. 9 And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up. 10 so then, as we have opportunity, let us do good to everyone, and especially to those who are in the household of faith."

Want to know more? Here are some additional thoughts that encourage us to do His will in His way.

Live Right  We believe Psalm 99:1 - "God Reigns!" and as such He has all authority. His all-encompassing authority has been granted to Jesus according to Matthew 28:18. God has revealed His will to all people everywhere in the Bible, which has everything we need to live a life pleasing to God. We hold to no man-made creed or organization, just the Word of God.  It is our desire to serve our God according to His good pleasure as set forth in His word.

Do Good  We seek to do the will of our Father who is in Heaven, as set forth for us in His word.  We embrace His command in Matthew 22:37-39 when Jesus says "You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the great and first commandment. And a second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself."  We seek to follow Jesus’ teaching in John 15:14 – “You are my friends if you do what I command you.”

Be Ready  We are always glad for opportunities to share our faith with our friends and neighbors in our community.  We remember Jesus’ final instruction in Matthew 28:19-20, where He instructs us today to “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”
